CloseBot does text. SMS, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, live web chat and email — six channels, handled by a genuinely good drag-and-drop conversation builder called Job Flows. If your clients only need inbound text qualification, CloseBot is a reasonable, cheaper choice and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.
What CloseBot does not do is pick up the phone. It does not identify the anonymous visitors who never open a chat window, and it cannot show a business owner a live view of a session as it happens. Those are the three things Knock Knock was built around.
Worth knowing before you compare: CloseBot publicly recommends pairing itself with a separate voice AI tool rather than competing on voice. That is an honest position from them, and it tells you exactly where the boundary of the product sits.

Which one you should actually pick
Choose CloseBot if…
- Your clients only need inbound text qualification, and voice is genuinely not on the roadmap.
- You want the lowest possible entry cost — there is a real free tier, and business plans start at $64/mo.
- You need intricate, explicitly-mapped branching logic. Job Flows is a strong builder and we are not going to claim our agent configuration beats it at that specific job.
- Per-message rebilling at $0.012 fits how you already price clients.
Choose Knock Knock if…
- You need voice. Not as a second vendor and a second invoice — in the same platform, inbound and outbound.
- The anonymous visitors who never start a chat are the leads you actually want. KnockID names them and pushes them into GoHighLevel.

What is visitor identification and why does it matter here?
A chat bot can only speak to someone who opens the chat window. The overwhelming majority of website visitors never do. KnockID identifies a portion of that anonymous traffic and writes it into the CRM as named leads, so your client's database grows from traffic that would otherwise have left no trace. CloseBot does not offer this.
